Working principle of ceramic filter

The ceramic filter is based on the principle of capillary micropore, using microporous ceramics as a filter medium, using a large number of microporous ceramics with the principle of capillary action, which is designed with the principle of capillary action. The distribution device (vacuum barrel) is discharged or recycled to achieve the purpose of solid-liquid separation.

The shape and mechanism of the ceramic filter are similar to the working principle of the disk type vacuum filter. Under the effect of pressure difference, the particles are intercepted on the surface of the medium to form a filter cake when the suspension is filtered, and the liquid is discharged through the filter medium, and the solid liquid separation is achieved. The difference lies in the filter medium — the ceramic filter plate has micropores that produce the capillary effect, which makes the capillary force in the micropores greater than the force applied by the vacuum, and keeps the micropores full of liquid state. In any case, the ceramic filter plate does not allow air to pass through, and is separated from the solid and liquid because of no air transmission. The energy consumption is low and the vacuum degree is high.
